Shantul's Gravatar I just heard your show and at first, I had the same reaction as you did. However, I work for a very large company where the infrastructure group approves application (including development applications) that we use. When we were deciding what to use, I got our architecture team to see why Flex was better than Dojo however, then I had to work with the infrastructure team to get Flex Builder approved. Worse... Flash Pro was already approved. Since then, trying to explain to people inside the company that Flex is running inside of Flash has been a nightmare. It took months to get people to realize that there was no new installs needed to get the application that we were going to build to run in the browser.

In terms of Name changes, we use the IBM development suite for Java. The name seems to change every few years. It started out as Visual Age then WebSphere Application Developer, now it is Rational Application Developer. I think there was another name in there also before WSAD.

I need to take a look at what is in Flash Builder but if there is a way that we don't need Flash Pro any longer (like for skinning and animation), and could do it in Flash Builder, I would be all set. However, they definitely need to keep the "Professional" version. It is amazing how much weight that one word carries...
